
In 2012, I had the pleasure of working with Compass Marketing and Consulting in Tallahassee, Florida, as their Social Media Associate. The team with which I worked extensively was top-tier in their marketing knowledge and ability, and I feel fortunate to have been part of their award-winning company. I was witness to a myriad different aspects of marketing and advertising, including event planning, graphic design sessions, marketing strategy and creative brainstorming sessions.

Part of my responsibility at Compass Marketing and Consulting involved writing blog posts for out clients' online blogs. This involved me writing extensively about a topic which I had no real familiarity with while maintaining an engaging and insightful. Furthering this, my main focus at Compass as their Social Media Associate was creating and maintaining their online presence. I created content for Compass's clients, as well as Compass Marketing itself, on the social media platforms Facebook, Twitter and Youtube. I proposed and instituted the used of Hootsuite, an online social media dashboard which streamlined the process of campaigning online. I prepare a set of standards by which we were to judge the success of our social media campaigns (which included statistics such as likes, views, retweets, shares, etc). I also composed multiple informational documents for potential clients, current clients and others who may be otherwise unfamiliar, outlining the details of social media. I met deadlines multiple times a week, while balancing other duties as they were assigned to me. During my time with Compass Marketing and Consulting, activity an all Facebook pages has increased significantly. Our most successful post had a viewership of over 65,000.
